Megan Szrom has a lifelong passion for ecology that she enjoys most when it is shared with others. Her teaching style is solutions-based, experiential, and aims to empower the next generation with a sense of belonging to place and a foundational awareness of our ecological life-support systems. Megan has a degree in Environmental Science from the University of South Florida and 2 Permaculture Design Certificates. She has worked as a full-time elementary school Garden and Regenerative Practices teacher for the last 5 years at several schools in San Francisco, including Alta Vista School, where she won an award from SF Environment and the City of San Francisco for her zero waste curriculum. Megan is also the founder and director of the Indigenous Wisdom & Permaculture Skills Convergence, a 10 day gathering dedicated to gaining critical hands-on skills in ecologically minded practices, on the Oglala Lakota Pine Ridge reservation.
