Un círculo de aprendizaje, intercambio y práctica para quienes experimentan deterioro cognitivo y quienes los cuidan.

Rates of dementia are on the rise. The reasons are many, and have their roots in inflammatory anthropogenic societal and lifestyle pressures. The human and financial costs are staggering.

There is also an evolving science base supporting a whole-person, integrative and functional medicine approach to preventing and even slowing the rate of cognitive decline.

This circle will support those in the early stages of cognitive challenges, and those who care for or support them, so that we can weave a social fabric that enables everyone to age as well as possible and stay engaged in community as long as we are able. We will weave concepts on the use of food and plants as medicine, the mental and cognitive health benefits of relationship with the natural world and each other, and the way community can be in loving integrity with our elders.

Please plan to attend each of the four sessions.

Offered on a sliding scale, no one turned away for lack of funds.

* Lunch will include a seasonal Food as Medicine chef demonstration. Please bring something to share sourced from local farms or food system, loaded with brain-supporting anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative properties. (We'll support you in knowing what that is!)
